  Queensland Sportfishing Trips
It is statistically proven that the area we are fishing in the Coral Sea and wide of Cairns and Lizard Island is the best place in the world for a chance at a grander marlin. This is simply a statistical fact and not marketing hype. The 2003 IGFA Record book states that over 70% of the grander marlin ever caught in the world were black marlin caught off the Great Barrier Reef between Cairns, Lizard Island and out into the Coral Sea.
  Our Boats
The vessels we use on all of our expeditions are custom built to suit the conditions, locations and the fishing styles that we encounter. All of our boats are maintained to the highest aesthetic and mechanical standards. You will not be disappointed when fishing on one of these vessels: 80ft Catamaran Mothership - ’Odyssey’, and a51ft Riviera Open Flybridge Sportfisher - ’Fascination’.
  Our Crew
Capt. Damon Olsen Damon is the co-owner and general manager of Nomad Sportfishing Adventures, and has over 20 years experience fishing the east coast of Queensland. Before starting Nomad Sportfishing charters at Fraser island in 2000, he gained a degree in Civil Engineering from QUT in Brisbane and worked as a Civil Engineer, before the lure of the ocean was just too much.
