Fishing for Peacock Bass They hit harder than they have any reason to, they run more explosively than any angler would expect, they fight harder than their size and weight would seem to allow and they have more stamina than seems possible given their violent style. Fishing Trips Aboard the Blackwater Explorer Built to fish - The new “Blackwater Explorer” is among the most attractive yachts sailing the Amazon basin. Her classic and graceful ’Amazonian Regional’ design blends perfectly with the pristine blackwater habitat she calls home. But more importantly, she’s been built to fish. Her broad beam maximizes her functional interior space while keeping her total length manageably short. |

Big, ugly trairao up to 40 pounds, bicuda up to 3 feet long, hieroglyphic patterned suribim and the biggest black piranha we’ve ever seen.
